All realities, one pride
Pride Barcelona 2026 aims to be a demonstration of strength, unity and commitment between the city, its citizens and the entire LGTBIQA+ community. Under the slogan “All realities, one pride”, the campaign is born from the desire to highlight the diversity that makes up our community and to reaffirm that all identities, experiences and journeys are part of the same struggle for rights, dignity and equality.
The main objective is to make all LGTBIQA+ realities visible, not only as an exercise in celebration and recognition, but also as a way of remembering the path already travelled and the challenges that still lie ahead. Behind each letter there are personal stories, collective struggles, acts of resistance and achievements that have made possible the pride we can live and share today. Pride Barcelona 2026 wants to give voice to this plurality and reinforce the idea that diversity is one of our greatest strengths.
This proposal is built from an intersectional perspective. Intersectionality is the perspective that recognises that people experience their reality through the interaction of multiple factors, such as sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, origin, race, disability, age, social class, administrative status or other personal and social circumstances. These factors can lead to very different experiences within the same LGTBIQA+ community, as well as specific situations of discrimination or inequality. For this reason, Pride Barcelona 2026 wants to ensure that all voices, especially those that have historically been made invisible or have faced multiple forms of exclusion, have space, representation and prominence.
This message takes on special relevance in a social and political context in which the rights of LGTBIQA+ people continue to be questioned by certain reactionary discourses and movements. Faced with attempts to divide the community, make certain realities invisible or roll back rights that have already been achieved, Barcelona has the opportunity to respond with firmness and conviction. Showing pride today also means defending the rights that have been won, claiming those that are still missing and ensuring that no one is left behind.
The campaign aims to convey a clear idea: the strength of the community lies in its ability to remain united through diversity. Different identities, orientations, gender expressions, origins, ages, abilities and experiences do not divide us; they enrich us and make us stronger. For this reason, Pride Barcelona 2026 is conceived as an inclusive celebration and, at the same time, a statement of protest, capable of connecting the memory of past struggles with the need to continue moving forward in the defence of human rights and equality.
In a particularly significant year for the city, with its sights set on the World Pride candidacy and in a political context that will shape the future of social rights, Barcelona wants to project an image to the world of an open, courageous and committed city. A city that understands that pride is much more than a celebration: it is an expression of freedom, a tool for social transformation and an active defence of democracy.
Pride Barcelona 2026 wants to show that all LGTBIQA+ realities have a place, that all rights deserve to be defended and that only through unity can we continue moving forward. Because without unity there is no future, and without pride there is no democracy.
